I made this with circles of thick cardboard as the base rather than CDs as most others do since the cardboard is lighter, easier to handle, and combined with a soft cushion layer of batting on the outer sides which also covers the edges so they are soft on the hands as well. This item is finished with matching large bright purple buttons sewn on to stabilize everything together.
Your cards of a regular type of deck, UNO cards, or other cards of your choice can simply be slid in the center between the layers with ease and as the photos show I can easily hold them up between 1-2 fingers and a thumb.
This piece is absolutely fully hand sewn and no glue is used to create it. High quality is what I love to give my clients.
